AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Thank you for considering JLE: Journal of Literate of English Education Study Program for the publication of your research. To ensure a smooth and efficient submission process, please carefully review and adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Articles are the author's original scientific work and have never been published or are in the process of being published by other media;
  • Articles emphasize the study of English language teaching and learning encouraging inquiries into relationship between theoretical and practical studies (See Focus and Scope);
  • Articles must be in accordance with the surrounding style and journal template (See Template);
  • The author must submit an article that reviews the actual themes within the scope of English language teaching and learning, shows the sharpness of analysis, the updating of references, and no plagiarism. The author must fill in the form for the authenticity of the articles;
  • Articles are written in grammatically correct English;
  • Articles submitted to JLE: Journal of Literate of English Education Study Program have been written in Papers A4 (Width: 21 cm, Height: 29,7 cm), Margin (Top: 2,54 cm, left: 2,54 cm, Bottom: 2,54 cm, Right: 2,54 cm), Times New Roman 11 pt, 1 space ranging in length from 10-15 pages;
  • The article submitted to JLE: Journal of Literate of English Education Study Program has been written using the Mendeley or Zotero manager reference application with Format APA 6th Style;
  • The articles submitted through online submissions must contain the articles file and the academic biographical data.

The article's systematics are:

  • Title. The title should be clear and informative, and not more than 14 words.
  • Author's names and institutions. The author's names should be accompanied by the author's institutions and email addresses, without any academic title. For a joint paper, one of the authors should be notified as the corresponding author.
  • Abstract and keywords. The abstract consist of 150-250 words. Please provide the abstract in both English and Indonesian versions. The keywords should be of 3 to 5 words or phrases.
  • Introduction. This section explains the background of the study, research problem, a review of the previous researches, and aims of the research. Importantly it should also show the significance and novelty of the research.
  • Methods. This section describes type of research, data, data analysis technique, and the appropriate tools of analysis along with the data and their sources.
  • Results and Discussion. This section explains the results of the study. It should be presented clearly and concisely, findings that are relevant to the purpose of the study, Confirm the results with previous findings. Author (s) should explore the novel or the contribution of the work to the English Language Education
  • Conclusion. The conclusion section contains a summary of research results or research findings. The conclusion begins with a statement in paragraph form and answers the research objectives
  • Acknowledgments: Describe anyone who directly assisted your research, such as funders (institutions that are called non-personal), may be completed with a research contract number (Optional).
  • References. This section lists only the papers, books, or other types of publications referred to in the body of the manuscript. Atleast 25 references within maximum last 10 years using Mendeley or Zetero with APA 6th Style

Submission Process

  • Submit your manuscript through the journal's online submission system (See Submission link)
  • Follow the instructions on the submission site to upload your manuscript and any supplementary files.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is Microsoft Word Office.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

 Peer Review Process

  • Initial Screening: The editorial team will conduct an initial screening to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and meets quality standards.
  • Peer Review: Manuscripts passing the initial screening will be sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
  • Revision: Authors may be required to revise their manuscript based on reviewers’ comments. Revisions should be submitted within the specified timeframe.
  • Final Decision: The editor will make a final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations and the revised manuscript.

Post-Acceptance

  • Proofreading: Authors will receive proofs for final review and approval before publication.
  • Publication: Accepted manuscripts will be published online and assigned a DOI.
  • Open Access: This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge (See Open Access Policy). To publish an articles in this journal, the authors are suggested to consider an associated fee (See Author Fee).
